Monroe NY Real Estate Results – April 2017
The Monroe, NY real estate results are now available for April 2017. The month included improved sales prices, lower number of sales and fewer distressed properties.
Sales Volume
Twelve homes closed in the month of April. That’s the lowest number of sales in a month since early in 2016. That being said, the results are not indicative of a trend, as there have already been six sales during the first five days of May. So the recent trend of high sales volume is still underway. In addition, there are currently only 102 homes available for sale, which is ~30% lower than the same time last year.
Median Sales Prices
April 2017 sales price results showed improvement over the past month and the same time last year. The median price of $292,500 was 25% higher than April 2016, and 33% higher than the most recent month. While March sales included 37% distressed properties, in April that percentage was only 17%.
