As seen below, the Monroe, NY real estate results are now available for the July 2016 period.
The median sales price in July 2016 continued to move up, with a 5% increase over the previous month of June. In addition, median prices in July 2016 were approximately 8% higher than the same time last year. Sales prices in 2016 have been trending upward and July is no exception, which is good news for sellers and remains impetus for hesitating buyers to get moving.
Regarding sales volume, sales volume remains healthy in the Monroe NY area, with 23 sales in July, approximately the same as the previous month, but 28% higher than the same time last year. Inventory has decreased from 124 at the end of June to 113 as of the beginning of August.
The trend this year has seen lively sales, and growing median pricing in most months. Coupled with the declining inventory, this could mean we are moving towards a seller’s market in Monroe.
