2013 Update: This beautiful co-op was sold, but the following reasons are still great reasons for living at Beacon Hill in Dobbs Ferry. If you need the name of a real estate agent who can assist you in your home hunt, feel free to contact me and I will refer you to an appropriate agent.
REASON NUMBER FIVE:
The beautiful Hudson River is a 5 minute drive, or 25 minute walk, from 113 Beacon Hill Drive. From the Waterfront Park, on a clear day, you can see north past the Tappan Zee bridge, or south to the George Washington bridge. You can put your kayak in the water. You can take a book and relax under a tree. You can set up a fishing pole. You can sunbathe. You can bring the family down for a barbeque, or use the playground.
REASON NUMBER FOUR:
Dobbs Ferry’s sense of community provides many opportunities to meet your neighbors.
From the summer-time free jazz concerts that are held at Waterfront Park to the Halloween trick-or-treating where the town streets are closed off for safety and children can trick or treat in town businesses, to the fourth of July fireworks over the Hudson, the annual Dobbs Ferry Festa or any number of other community events, you have every reason to get out and about!
REASON NUMBER THREE:
113 Beacon Hill is part of the Beacon Hill Cooperative Estates.
Established in the 1950s, the property contains 158 two and three bedroom apartments in garden style two-story buildings. The property is beautifully landscaped, with outdoor benches placed strategically throughout the complex.
Co-op owners can use the property’s swimming pool, leave their beach chairs and lunch in the pool house, utilize the barbeques for a nice summer meal, and enjoy the playgrounds and ball courts. There are also some garages available, although there is typically a waiting list for the garages. There is off-street parking for co-op owners in private lots, and plenty of on-street parking as well.
In addition, the Beacon Hill property is strategically located, and is within walking distance of the county bus system. It’s also a 20 minute walk to the train to NYC (or 5 minute drive). Dobbs Ferry is convenient to all!
REASON NUMBER TWO:
Regardless of the food you like to eat, Dobbs Ferry is close to everything. A 15 minute ride gets you to Central Park Avenue, a shopping and eating mecca. In less time, you can get to Stew Leonards and Costcos and more.
Right in the town of Dobbs Ferry, you can enjoy delicious sushi at Sushi Mike’s or Sushi Niji. If sushi doesn’t interest you, there are big juicy burgers at Doubleday’s, delicious chef-designed food at the Cookery (my personal favorite), or the Half Moon restaurant located on the river, just to name a few local choices!
You won’t go hungry living in Dobbs Ferry!
REASON NUMBER ONE:
This beautiful home could be yours by Spring Time!
It comes complete with seasonal views of the Hudson River, southern exposures producing lots of sunlight; newly refinished floors and painted walls. This home is just waiting for you!
Move in before the spring foliage blooms!
What are you waiting for?
