September 2020 Consumer Newsletter for Seniors
As an SRES® REALTOR®, I have access to monthly National Association of REALTORS® newsletters aimed at the senior citizen community (50+). The September 2020 consumer newsletter focuses on decluttering and organization, not only to make life more organized on a day to day basis, but with an eye towards legacy and future housing changes.
An interesting note from the newsletter – did you know we spend the equivalent of 2.5 days per year looking for lost objects? Our glasses (oh, they’re on my head!), the remote, the mail, etc. Staying organized could get us a few extra days a year!
Other interesting tidbits for the month:
I have seen many reviews of “best” states for retiring. I found it interesting to see the McKnight’s Senior Living publication rated my state of Montana is #5 in terms of % of population that are seniors. Check this link out to whether your state is in the top ten.
If you or a family member are considering a move to assisted living, this US News and World Report checklist might be useful. It covers questions to ask, reports to check and items to investigate such as fees, services and policies.
If you would like to get on my mailing list for the SRES® newsletter, let me know and I’ll provide a copy monthly via email. To read this month’s full report, click on the link below.
