Most expensive home sold in Monroe NY – 2016
The median sales price for single family homes in the town of Monroe NY was $269K during the year of 2016. That price point would get the buyer a 3 to 4 bedroom bi-level/raised ranch home with 2 bathrooms, about 1700 square feet of living space, a garage, in-window air conditioning, and about a third acre of land. That being said, with 227 single family homes being sold in the year, there were obviously a lot to choose from, both in the lower price range and the higher.
So what was the most expensive single family home sold in Monroe in 2016?
The winner was a five-bedroom colonial located in the Mansion Ridge development which sold for $650K. The Mansion Ridge homes are located on a gorgeous Jack Nicklaus designed golf course and club and include both townhouses and single family homes.
This particular home of almost 6000 square feet sat on nearly an acre of property, with all the amenities one might want. The kitchen was fully outfitted with double wall ovens and a six-burner cooktop, a built in refrigerator, granite counters and cherry cabinets. All the bedrooms included en-suite baths. The home not only came with 16 foot ceilings in the family room, floor-to-ceiling windows and a fireplace, but also a wet bar, office, and theater room.
