Final free concert of the summer in Monroe NY: August 25, 2011

The final free concert of the summer will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 7pm at Crane Park (Millpond Parkway) in Monroe, NY.

The band Ten Fingers, which plays songs from the Beatles, Steely Dan, Genesis, Journey and more will perform.

The concert will take place on the lawn at the north end of the Park and Millpond Parkway will be closed to traffic.

Local restaurants will be selling food along the Parkway, and there will be large inflatables for children to jump around in.

Bring your own chairs and blankets.

The rain date is September 1st.

Directions to the event are as follows:

• Take 17 East or West to Exit 130 (NY-208).
• Turn left on NY-208.  After about 0.5 mile, turn right on Schunemunk Road.
• After 0.3 miles, turn left on 17-M E, and after about 350 feet, the park is on your left.
• If that street is blocked off, you should drive straight ahead and make a left at the first left hand street, then another left oton Millpond Parkway and park right before the road becomes blocked on the right hand side.
