Homes for Heroes, Hudson Valley NY

Kat Palmiotti and Grand Lux Realty have been avid supporters of the Homes for Heroes program for the past year. We have found that many buyers and sellers in the area who could benefit from Homes for Heroes, still do not know about the program. This post is an effort to continue to spread the word about Homes for Heroes to buyers and sellers in the Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties of New York.

Homes for Heroes was inspired by the tragic events of 9/11. It’s a nationwide program with a mission to provide extraordinary savings and service to heroes who provide extraordinary services to our nation and its communities.

When heroes work with Homes for Heroes affiliate real estate specialists, they receive Hero Rewards. These are easy ways for our heroes to save significant money when buying, selling or refinancing a home.

For buyers:

If you are a buyer, this program will provide you with a check about a week after your closing. The amount is dependent upon your sale price. For example, if you were purchasing a home at a price of $200K, you would receive a check in the amount of $1,400. A $300K home would result in a Homes for Heroes check of $2,100. In addition to receiving a check after closing, if you work with a Homes for Heroes affiliate lender, you will receive discounts from them as well.

For sellers:

If you are selling a home, you will receive a 25% credit of your listing-side commission at closing. It’s that simple!

These benefits are our way of saying thank you for all you do in service of others. There are no income requirements or other specific thresholds you must meet in order to participate. April 2019 Update: My affiliation with Homes for Heroes is ending in April 2019 (for now). It’s a GREAT organization that helps Heroes with selling and purchasing homes. However, due to the lack of Homes for Heroes agent vacancies in the area I am moving to, I will no longer be a H4H affiliate. To the heroes I have helped, thank you for letting me assist you!
